Theatre Scrubs Up

We are pleased to announce the completion of the Mechanical Services Contract at Glasgow Royal Infirmary – Bulk Store, Theatre L & Same Day Admissions within the Queen Elizabeth Building.
The major challengeDSC00700 with these works was working in a live Hospital environment without disruption to vital existing services. This was achieved with our close partnership with the Client to maintain normal services to the relevant Hospital areas.

Ventilation for each area is provided by sectional Air Handling Units located in the Basement Plantroom. The new plant was designed to deliver increased supply air rates and pressure differentials within the areas to comply with the latest HTM and infection control requirements. A bespoke ExFlow 28 Theatre Canopy complete with touchscreen control panel, PACS panel, TruLight operating light and medical service pendants was also installed in Theatre L as part of our works.

We aim to continue our successful partnership with the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in the future.

Teething Pains Eased

teething painsWe have completed three Contacts at the Glasgow Dental Hospital, they were  the redevelopment and fit out of dental teaching area on level 7 providing all services including medical gases to the dental chairs, a teaching clinic (for The University of Glasgow and the an infrastructure project which included new roof top chillers.

The work included closing a part of the city center early on a Sunday morning to lift the chillers into position on the roof 10 floors above ground level.

All works were run concurrently and completed on time while the Dental School operated normally.

Pupils Commit To Be Fit

picWe are pleased to have completed a mechanical services installation at the new sports facility for St.Aloysius College in the heart of Glasgow. This project provides modern and comprehensive sports facilities on the doorstep of the college. The project was carried out on a restricted city gap site with close by residential property which provided certain challenges.

The roof mounted AHU has to be a special bespoke unit which provided excellent acoustic performance to protect the college neighbours from noise pollution, this was built in situ on the roof.

The works consisted of LTHW heating, full ventilation and air conditioning, water and gas services to the entire building and including all sanitaryware and showers to the changing areas.

We would like to hope the college and the pupils have many year’s service from the facility.
